Hefei Rail Transit Group is the city-owned company responsible for building, operating, maintaining and financing Hefei’s metro. Established in 2009, it opened Line 1 in December 2016; since Line 7 opened in July 2026 the network has eight lines, 195 stations and 275.5 km of route. The group has about 12,000 employees and also develops commercial resources along its lines.
