Anhui Ankai Automobile builds city buses, coaches, school buses and special vehicles at its base in Baohe District. Its name stands for Anhui-Kässbohrer, recalling a 1993 cooperation with the German maker of Setra coaches, which Ankai later built under licence. JAC Group holds 41.6% of the shares. In 2025 Ankai sold 8,569 buses, up 46.8%, on revenue of RMB 3.43 billion.
