The world’s largest display maker
You probably look at a BOE screen every day, but the logo is rarely on it. BOE supplies panels to brands such as Apple, Huawei, ASUS and Acer. In 2008 Hefei landed its first factory: the start of the Hefei model.
BOE runs three LCD panel fabs in Hefei’s Xinzhan district, of Gen 6, Gen 8.5 and Gen 10.5. The Gen 6 project, agreed in 2008 at 17.5 billion yuan, drew suppliers to an area that now counts more than 150 display companies. The Gen 10.5 line began production in December 2017 as the world’s first of its generation, with a design capacity of 120,000 glass substrates a month.
Headquartered in Beijing, with three large display factories in Hefei.
